R.E.M. Albums Ranked from Worst to Best

A new R.E.M. album comes out today. I keep forgetting that these guys are still making music. Several of their albums were quite the huge deal for me when I was growing up. Glad to see this reviewer also loves Document. while they haven’t made a really great record in a long time, they still get a lifetime pass from me.

The Map of Metal

This is an intensely detailed interactive map (with music samples) of the many sub-genres of metal music. Not that I’m a huge metal fan or anything, but I do love me some maps and classification!

What we have learned: metal-heads have a lot of time on their hands.
